Usyk Defeats Joshua and New..

Usyk Becomes New Heavyweight champion

Last night former undisputed cruiserweight champion turned heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk (19 wins *13 Ko's, and 0 losses) stepped in and fought the current WBO,IBF,IBO,WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24 wins *22 KO's, and 2 losses) and defeated him via 12 round unanimous decision in front of 67,000 fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.  Both had their moments but Usyk maintained his game plan throughout and didn't seem to tire and looked like he could have kept his pace for 15 rounds if it they still had those championship rounds like yesterday.

The scores were 117-112, 116-112 and 115-113, and this makes Usyk only the 3rd fighter in history to have won cruiserweight and heavyweight championships with the other two fighters being Evander Holyfield and David Haye. There is a rematch clause and we shall see if Joshua will take it or elect to go after Fury or Wilder without the belts.
