Whyte vs Chisora 2 Highlights

Saturday, December 22, 2018

Whyte Ko's Chisora In the 11th!

In tonights heavyweight rematch from their fight in December 2016, Dillian Whyte (25-1, 18 KOs) knocked out Dereck Chisora (29-9, 21 KOs) in the eleventh round.

The fight was very competitive. Chisora was more of the aggressor all night while Whyte looked for the counters. In the 1st round this was evident and Whyte landed a heavy right that dazed Chisora and left him spend time in the round to recover.

In the 2nd, Whyte used his jab more effectively and in the 3rd Chisora's aggression was getting Whyte to back up. The 4th seen Whyte controlling the 1st while Chisora rallied and finished strong.

In the 5th and 6th rounds Chisora was controlling the action and unloading with body punches. The 7th seemed pretty even and in the 8th the pace slowed and Chisora was deducted a point for a low blow.

The ninth was another close round but with Whyte landing the bigger punches.

The 10th was mostly Whyte's round with the exception of the very closing moments where Chisora rallied.

In the 11th, Chisora was deducted a point for using his forearm and Whyte started throwing alot more punches. As this was happening Chisora walked into a huge counter hook in the 11th round that knocked him out cold.

Outcome:  Whyte via 11th round KO over Chisora.

Breazeale Ko's Negron In 9th!

Barclays Center, Brooklyn - In the opening bout of the Fox telecast out Barclays Center, Brooklyn, top heavyweight contender Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale (20-1, 18 KOs) delivered a 1 punch KO victory over Carlos Negron (20-2, 16 KOs) in the ninth-round of their heavyweight showdown.

In the early rounds, Negron was able to score with a lead left hook and to the body as Breazeale's pace was quite slow. Breazeale caught Negron with a powerful right at the end of the 4th round.

In the middle of round 9, Breazeale had Negron in the corner and hit him with a overhead right that send Negron against the ropes. Referee Arthur Mercante stopped the bout at 1:37 into the 9th round.

Breazeale is the mandatory challenger for heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and had a message for the champion, who was seated ringside.

"I'm next in line for Deontay Wilder and I'm coming for him," said Breazeale. "I've been waiting for him and I did what I had to do tonight. I'm ready for him now. "I know Wilder is here in the crowd. He came to watch. He knows I'm next. He better be holding on to that belt really tightly, because I'm coming. 'Trouble' is already here."

Also had the following to say:

"I knew the big shot was coming, it was just a matter of time," said Breazeale. "I was setting up that right hand all night. Since the third round I noticed he dropped his left hand when he took a step to the left, and that's what I got him with."

"It's been a long stretch since I've been in the ring," said Breazeale. "I definitely worked off some ring rust, worked some great combinations and body shots, and finally got the knockout."

Chisora Whyte 2 Prediction

Dereck Chisora vs Dillian Whyte 2 Prediction

I predict that the fight will go very similar to their 1st encounter .  It will be a back and forth battle and it will go to a decision and it will be for Chisora.  I just feel Chisora has worked extra hard this time and has dedicated himself and this will give him the extra edge over Whyte..  I don't feel either has enough power to KO the other but there could be a possibility of a TKO stoppage late in Chisora's favor.

Prediction:  Chisora unanimous decision victory over Whyte

Klitschko Comeback Message To Joshua

It has been reported but not confirmed by Wladimir Klitschko himself that a msssage from Klitschko was sent to Anthony Joshua stating that he wants to come back..

Wladimir officially retired midway through last year but has both hinted at and denied a comeback since.

Joshua is looking for his next opponent on April 13, and AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn told IFLTV: “Currently it’s Deontay Wilder, that’s what we want. “It might be Tyson Fury, it might be the winner of Whyte vs Chisora, it might be Oleksandr Usyk, it might be Jarrell Miller. Everything’s in play.” And regarding Wladimir Klitschko.. “He wants to come back,” Hearn continued. “I think he text AJ and said: ‘I wanna come back, I feel like I beat everybody in the division right now.’”

Parker Post Fight Intervew After Flores Win

The following is the full post fight interview after Joseph Parker knocked out Alexander Flores in Christchurch Saturday night.

'

Parker vs Flores Fight Video

Joseph Parked defeated Alexander Flores via 3rd round KO but the fight was in controversy due to low blows by Parker leading up to his win. Below is the full fight video.

Saturday, December 15, 2018

Parker KO's Flores

Joseph Parker is back on the winning track with a third round controversial win in their heavyweight clash against Alexander Flores at Horncastle Arena in Christchurch..

With 2:51 remaining in round 3 , referee John Conway waived off the fight and granted Parker the victory. In the same round, however, the ref had warned Parker about twice for low blows.

Did these punches effect the outcome? In my opinion the did since it happened right before the knockdown and you can see the opponent clearly drop his hand to react to the low blow.

Parker's trainer Kevin Barry was sure that the low blows in the third round would not take away from Parker's victory but they will be a major talking point. "Were there a couple of blows today that were a little low? Yea, there was a couple of low ones." "He didn't knock him out with a low blow, he knocked him out with a right hand on the chin and spun his eyes in the back of his head and he was down for about two minutes with his eye split open." "If anything it might silence a few people that said Joseph Parker's too much of a nice guy," Barry said. *This is in reference to many saying that Parker was too nice in the ring in his loss to British fighter Dillian Whyte back in August.

Parker also believes the low blow didn't effect the fight outcome. Parker was adamant the low blows were "unintentional, but I knew there was a few". "But he didn't get knocked out with a body shot," Parker said.

His opponent Flores was gracious in defeat but said "He hit me with a low blow. I felt it. As soon as I felt the shot I put my right hand down, he came with a left hand, then a straight right. It'll show on the video," Flores said post-fight.

Also, earlier in the night, fellow Kiwi heavyweight Junior Fa moved to 16-0 as he defended his WBO Oriental heavyweight title with a first-round knockout over Rogelio Omar Rossi with 1:28 minutes into the fight. Fa said he wants to fight Parker in 2019 but revealed his team are already in negotiations for a major fight in the US around March.

Hammer Stops Wallisch In Fifth

Christian Hammer, 24-5, knocked out Michael Wallisch, 19-1 in the 5th round, in a fight for the WBO European heavyweight title.
Hammer controlled the fight and in the 4th their was an accidental clash of heads and it appeared the fight was over. But, after some time the fight continued and Hammer patiently stalked Wallisch and caught him with a clean right after breaking out if the clinch. Wallsich sat down against the ropes appearing exhausted and the fight was waived off @ 2:18 in the fifth round.

Wilder vs Fury Ends In Draw

Tonight's WBC heavyweight championship fight betweeen WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-1-0, 39 KOs) and Tyson Fury (27-1-0, 19 KOs) ends in controversial draw.

Wilder did get 2 knockdowns with one being in the 9th from a right hand while Fury was bent over in the corner after ducking a shot and in the 12th round. Fury did come off the canvas from the right left combo that many thought he would not get up from and fought back and backed up Wilder (Props to referee Jack Reise for not calling off the fight and giving Fury time to get up. ) All the other rounds Fury controlled the fight with his movement and jab.

In my opinion, rounds 9 and 12 were the only 2 rounds that Wilder won and Fury won the rest. They both have stated they want a rematch. Hopefully, they fight in UK as Fury should have got the nod here.

Wiilder vs Fury Prediction

Who Will Win Fury or Wilder?

My Prediction:

The fight between Deontay Wilder  (40-0, 39 KOs) and Tyson Fury (27-0, 19 KOs) is today @ 6pm ET and 9pm PT. This is a very intriguing match-up and a lot of variables are at play and makes it hard to make an easy prediction on who will win this fight.  How much has 2 + years off and with all the extra weight and problems he had faced done to Fury and his ability to fight? We saw him against limited opposition this past summer with opponents that were not anywhere near the caliber in any regard compared to Wilder.

If this was the same Fury who fought Wladimir Klitschko there would be no doubt in my mind that at the very least Fury could pull off a decision win. (Assuming judging is fair) But, this isn't the same Fury, and even he himself has said the Fury who beat Wladimir is dead.

But, in my opinion  this actually might work in Fury's favor.  With him knowing he may not be the same boxer as he was coming into this fight he may look to use more power and size (40+ lb weight advantage) .   Everyone, including Wilder, is expecting a knockout by Wilder , and thinking Fury's only change is to  just box like he did against Wladimir.  But, this time Wilder fighting someone who is taller and bigger than him.  There has only been  1 fight where Wilder wasn't taller but Fury also far more skilled than that Foe.

Tyson Fury has enough power to hurt him and has the boxing skills to exploit Wilder's loose offensive arsenal.  I also see Fury being more aggressive than he was against Klitschko. So here is my prediction:

My wild prediction is that Tyson Fury will win via KO/TKO via 1st round or at least within 3 rounds.
